"This 1886, Queen Anne was nearly torn down. But thanks to Northside Neighborhood Housing Services, the MCDA and concerned neighbors it was saved and we have begun a major restoration!" says Susan. "Brian is a carpenter and I am a 'naturalist' interior decorator. Our kitchen features Chinese slate counter tops, Italian tile floors and oak cabinets. We have restored the woodwork and two buffets! We've redone the walls in "anaglypta," a traditional English wall covering. Ours is an environmentally and traditionally pleasing home."
