The Guide is compiled by the Minneapolis NRP to provide information to City residents about each candidate seeking a seat on the 2010 NRP Policy Board. The election will be held Thursday, November 19, 2009. City Issues Call for Applications to Neighborhood and Community Engagement Commission
May 12, 2009 - The City of Minneapolis Department of Neighborhood and Community Relations announced today that applications are now being sought for the eight neighborhood representatives to the City's Neighborhood and Community Engagement Commission (NCEC). The NCEC is a 16 member, resident based commission which will provide direction to the next phase of NRP and the City's community engagement work.

April 2, 2009 - The 2009 Minneapolis & St. Paul Home Tour will feature sixty homes - 39 in Minneapolis and 21 in Saint Paul. Homes on the free, self-guided tour will be open Saturday, April 25, 10 am-5 pm, and Sunday, April 26, 1-5 p.m. The Tour is coordinated by NRP in conjunction with the City of Saint Paul Planning and Economic Development department, and supported by other public, corporate and non-profit sponsors.

Neighborhood Groups Encouraged to Submit Resolutions for February 21 Meeting
January 22, 2009 - To facilitate development of a process for selecting the 8 neighborhood representatives to the new Neighborhood and Community Engagement Commission, the NRP Policy Board adopted a resolution at its November 24, 2008 meeting authorizing NRP staff to invite representatives from each neighborhood organization to a meeting to discuss the selection process for neighborhood members on the Commission.
