NRP Issues 2004 Affordable Housing Reserve Fund Request for Proposals

Improving the city's housing stock and providing housing that is affordable to any resident have been and continue to be top NRP and neighborhood priorities. The NRP Affordable Housing Reserve Fund (AHRF), established in July 2000, is one approach being implemented by the NRP to demonstrate its continuing commitment to providing long-term affordable housing for individuals and families that earn less than half of the Metro Median Income (MMI).

The NRP Policy Board is making $3.2 million available through a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a third and final round of AHRF projects. All of the proposals must be reviewed and sponsored by the NRP neighborhood organization for the area where the proposed project will occur. The review process must include a minimum of one 30-day notice neighborhood-wide general attendance meeting, promoted through broad means.
