The 11-member Civilian Police Review Authority is currently accepting applications to fill four vacancies.
The purpose of the Authority is to provide fair and impartial investigation of citizen complaints of misconduct on the part of Minneapolis Police Officers.
Application forms are now available from the office of the City Clerk, Room 304 City Hall, 350 Fifth St. S. To request an application by phone, please call 612-673-3358. Persons may apply on their own behalf or nominate another person. Applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday September 24, 2004 (extended from August 13, 2004). No late applications will be accepted. Members serve four-year terms and are compensated $50 each day when a member attends one or more meetings or hearings or provides other services as authorized by board rule. Two of the vacant positions will be Mayoral appointments and two will be City Council appointments.
