October 3, 2011 - Eight candidates have filed for election to the NRP Policy Board to be a Neighborhood Representative. The election is scheduled for Thursday, November 17th. Neighborhoods are now identifying an elector and alternate to vote on their behalf in this election. A voter's guide listing the candidates is now available as well as a elector registration form.
Even though there are some uncertainties about how the NRP will be administered after January 1, 2012 and about the composition of a new Policy Board, it is critical that we have neighborhood representatives elected by the NRP adopted process. This will give validity for these representatives to participate in NRP related decisions in the future. It is our hope that this election gathering of electors, representing each of the neighborhoods, will use this election process to express the hopes and concerns of their neighborhoods as they ask questions of the candidates.
