Mission: The mission of the Kingfield Farmers Market is to bring neighbors together to buy, eat and learn about local food. The Kingfield Market supports local farmers, promote vibrant community and effects important changes in food and agricultural policy at a regional, state and national levels.

Overview: The Kingfield Farmers Market Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the Kingfield Farmers Market in order to serve its vendors, guests, patrons and volunteers. Markets are held every Sunday from 8:30am-1:00pm from May 23 through October 31.

Essential Functions: * Manage and assist in market set-up and tear down including weekly site planning.
* Provide on site support to all vendors, patrons, musicians, artists, master gardener volunteers, and other community activity providers for each market.
* Ensure market regulations and state and local health codes are followed.
* Manage the collection of vending fees.
* Maintain an accurate and up to date vendor list, market schedule, and event schedule throughout the market season.
* Oversee and assist with implementation of special and weekly events including but not limited to bakeoffs, music and family friendly activities.
* Manage market booth including: donation collection and merchandise sales.
* Provide on site supervision to volunteers and assistants.
* Attend Kingfield Farmers Market Board of Directors meetings and sub-committee meetings as deemed appropriate.
* Manage and procure market supplies as needed.
* Maintain social networking site for market.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required
* Flexible schedule must include each Sunday during the market season.
* Strong problem solving ability.
* Must be able to routinely lift up to 50lbs.
* Ability to accomplish tasks with limited direct supervision.
* Must be highly organized, self-directed and creative.
* Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills.

Preferred
* Background in food, agriculture, community building and/or organizing.
* Experience in working with volunteers.
